Mission of the Oregon State Grange Foundation

To promote the ideals of the Grange within and without the boundaries of the state of Oregon.

The Oregon State Grange Foundation is not a part of the Grange, but supports the ideals and principles of the Grange as an incorporated 501(c)(3) organization.

Vision Statement

Education

Scholarships

The Oregon State Grange Foundation offers these scholarships:

bulletMarcel “Muzzy” Mandel Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of an active member of Sherwood Grange in Washington County. Any Oregon high school senior or college student is eligible.

bulletMary Hell Sauter Ramm Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in memory of a life member of Colton-Foothills Grange in Clackamas County. It is for a female student who has returned or wants to return to college after a 5-year break and major in education, history, or family history/genealogy.

bulletJunior Grange Camp Scholarship

This scholarship is open to any camp eligible Junior Grange member. Contact your district trustee or an officer for more information.

Send all communications to the Oregon State Grange headquarters (643 Union Street NE, Salem, OR 97301) or to your District Trustee.

Donations can be made to the Foundation by individuals or corporations. Your donation can take many different forms. Below are some examples, but you are not limited to these.

How to Donate

Send a check made out to the Oregon State Grange Foundation to the Oregon State Grange headquarters (643 Union Street NE, Salem, OR 97301). Contact your district trustee or an officer to explain what you want to donate and the specific fund. The Trustee will help you to accomplish your goals.

We urge you to consult with your tax advisor or attorney before making donations to any charitable organization.

Why Should You Donate?
bulletBenefits you. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, your donation is deductible from your income tax. Check with your tax advisor or attorney to find how you can best benefit from your gift.
 
bulletPromotes Grange ideals. The Foundation promotes the ideals and principles of the Grange. These values built America. Your donation ensures that these values will continue to be an important part of Oregon and America.
 
bulletLasting legacy. The knowledge that your money, property, or possessions will continue working on your behalf far into the future for a cause you believe in.
 
bulletPersonal satisfaction. You will know that you have helped others with your donation.
 

Recognition

Recognition levels are accumulative. Therefore, a donation of $1,000 is recognized at both the Supporter and Builder levels.

bulletSupporter: for a donation of $100 or more, the donor's name is engraved on our annual Support Plaque, which is hung at the State Grange headquarters.

Grants

The 501(c)(3) tax-status allows the Foundation to apply for and distribute grant monies. Therefore, your Subordinate/Community Grange needs to coordinate grant applications with the Foundation. Contact your District trustee or an officer.

Disclosure Information (The boring, but important legal stuff.)

Contact the OSG Master or your District Trustee for the two legal disclosures that any person is entitled to view:
