Farmer of the Year

This is an Oregon program to recognize and encourage Grange members who are actively engaged in farming, agri-business, or rural development. The following process will be used to select one winner.

bulletThe Subordinate/Community and Pomona Grange must certify all applicants as eligible. This certification will be evidenced by submitting a completed Oregon State Grange Farmer of the Year Application, which must be signed by the applicant, the Subordinate/ Community Grange Master and the Pomona Master. A Subordinate/ Community Grange may certify as many applicants as they feel are qualified.

bulletApplicants must also include an essay of 500 to 750 words on your vision for the Grange as it relates to agriculture.
 
bulletApplications must be sent to the State Agriculture Director by June 1.
 
bulletThe State Agriculture Committee in conjunction with the State Grange Master will appoint a three-person panel to review and rank the applicants based on their written application and essay.
 
bulletThe winner will be announced at the annual convention. The winner will receive a plaque.
